{↑}{→}{↓} Traditional maker’s marks served as a key reference for the logo, influencing both its form and intent. Historically used to signify authorship and craftsmanship, these marks often combined simple, distinctive symbols to create a recognisable identity. This language of reduction and clarity informed the logo’s design, where pared-back shapes come together to form a modern, considered mark that echoes the heritage of the craft while feeling contemporary in its execution.

{↑} The colour palette is inspired directly by Steve’s work, using soft, muted tones balanced with carefully placed accents of brighter colour. These restrained base tones provide a calm foundation, while pops of colour are introduced sparingly to create contrast, focus, and rhythm. This considered approach reflects the quiet, tactile quality of the work while allowing moments of vibrancy to emerge with intention and clarity.
